Prosperity & Wealth Building Strategies - prosperity Questions

Question #1:

Would stronger immigration laws benefit Mexico in the long run?

I think it would force Mexican govt to take care of Mexicans people which they havent done in a long time. It would bring peace and prosperity to Mexico since Mexicans would start a revolution in Mexico.

Question #2:

Why do people not respect authority as much as they used to?

A lack of respect for authority- why?
I've written a little of my own perception and some articles from other people and wonder whether you have any views yourselves? This is not for an essay! I'm doing a criminal justice degree but assure you I'm not into plaigerism and ask for my own benefit not the UNI's - C'mon give me your views- do you agree with anything I've said or with Melanie Phillips (what she wrote in 2004)?

Do YOU feel there is any truth in what I have written below?

A lack of respect for authority

In any organisation there needs to be structure and any lack of respect for its structure can have implications of an undermining of such a structure. To maintain authority can be concluded as being prevalent to its continued prosperity in the direction the organisation is intended whether it be for monetary gain or otherwise.

Amitai Etzioni, an instructor in the department of sociology at Columbia University says “An important factor in the ability of an organisation to achieve its goals is its authority structure”

The Mail Online writes this:
“A growing lack of adult authority has bred a 'spoilt generation' of children who believe grown-ups must earn their respect, a leading psychologist has warned.
The rise of the 'little emperor' spans the class divide and is fuelling ills from childhood obesity to teenage pregnancy, Aric Sigman's research shows.”
I found this next snippet from a site called ‘The labor of love .com’ under ‘Parenting’ – it may not be scholarly but I genuinely assume it’s a popular perception:
“No Respect for Authority
Our world is made up of rules and those who follow the rules, at least most of the time get along just fine and have good lives. However, those individuals who have no respect for authority frequently break the rules and end up with all kinds of problems as a result. This could be problems with the police, problems maintaining employment, and more. Many children who do not receive discipline as a child grow up with little if any respect for authority. This results in the child having problems for the rest of his life, unless he learns on his own to discipline himself and respect authority and laws. Dont allow this to happen to your child. Instead, enforce rules and discipline while your child is growing up.”

In 2004 Melanie Phillips writing for the mail had something to say about people having no respect for authority because it had none for itself- to a point I believe this can be one cause for the erosion of values within society but as we all know- the press do sensationalise some stories and the public are handed a perception to believe- please follow this link and consider what has been written:

Some theories on rebellion and lack of obedience suggest that self esteem can be built in an individual, from an early age, from disobedience but this suggests no lack of respect merely the desire to prove oneself.
An individual is naturally competitive through human nature and can be expressed in different ways such as mental ability- the ability to be cognitive, emotionally or physically able. Some people win superiority through knowledge gained through their mental ability whereas others can do it through physical prowess or the emotional state to ignore pain or duress. When all of these things aren’t enough to win a battle, a person has to deviate from normality and any set of rules- this is where I believe rebellion and disobedience occur.

Unless Authority is defined in such a way as to reward compliance and punish deviance – there is no norm to achieve and if authority is not maintained throughout there is no structure in which to stabilise when a person stops rebelling and being disobedient.

Some of the above is contrived from personal experience, my own philosophy and my perception of what I read. I intend no statement as such only that respect and defiance cannot be wholly linked because someone can defy the law but still respect it- in my opinion.

The project I’m embarking on has to show the lack of respect in society and the potential dangers and security risks of such an erosion in respect of authority.
I aim to prove that individuals actually LOSE self esteem and consequently disrespect others, eventually becoming so low in their own self regard that they emotionally turn off or shut their minds to punishment.

I do believe that there may be some sense in what I have written here and though it isn’t part of my project- it may have some bearing- I promise NO PLAGERISM!

Does a lack of faith in our authorities have a real bearing on why a man no longer wears a suit in court or is it that this individual is so poor he can’t afford one OR is it just that he isn’t bothered in showing any respect to those that may punish him?
Nutrino Sonic: sometimes we all need to be led, I've not met a man yet who can do everything for himself. Do you know how to diffuse a nuclear warhead should you be sat on one that was about to explode?
Ms B: how can you state they are corrupt when 'they' accounts for all those that protect you? There may be corruption because the authorities themselves have squads to track it down and dispatch with it- but that doesn't mean the whole system is corrupt and no good- where would you be if there were no police- at the mercy of every gang rapist in town or worse!
Do any of you feel there are more extroverts being created in society with all the speed of supposedly 'progress' and what is on offer? If so have you read Hans Jurgen Eysencks work and how an extrovert can allow punishment to go straight over their heads?

Question #4:

Why do Republicans Pay no Penalty for Being the Party of "No"?

There ought to be some sort of Uselessness Penalty.

The Press should get into a howl about how incredibly USELESS the GOP has been about all of our present crisis.

Yes the answer is No.

That's about all they can say.

They have no suggestions.

They have no positive proposal that the White House could simply accept and go forward with.

There is no middle ground, because the GOP is not on the ground. It is up in the Balloon of Naysaying, floating above our national difficulties.

Every single thing that is suggested -- gets a big "No"

It would distort markets. It's too much like a tax. It's not free markets. It's Porkulus.

As if "markets" was a holy shibboleth. As if markets is not what failed utterly and threatened to bring down our entire national well being in September of 2008.

GOP has selective amnesia.

Rational people know that what happened in September 2008 casts some doubt on the theory that free markets left completely alone to be completely free will always deliver peace and prosperity if only they are not interfered with.

That theory -- which is taught 1000 times in a ten week course called Econ 101 is plainly false.

We know that because we pay attention to the facts of reality, not just to the writing of dead Dr. Milton Friedman.

Observation is the basis of scientific understanding of reality, not drinking the purist kool aide of unbridled capitalism.

Observers learn.

True believers never learn.

They only spout their doctrines, which they heard in Econ 101 and wrote down 1000 times, and are now here to tell us -- Community College was not wasted on them.

It seems to me that nobody is calling the GOP out for being the Party of No.

They claim to be such patriots --- soooooooo loving of America, and yet while the country goes down the drain -- they don't have a single positive suggestion (except to cut taxes on the very rich by extending the 15% capital gains tax rate -- a gift of $680 Billion to the top 1%, half of which would go to the top 0.1%).

Their idea is the only thing wrong with America right now is that billionaires aren't mutli-billionaires. If only they were, everything would be perfect.

Does the conduct of the GOP strike you as disgusting and disgraceful when measured against their claims of being such Super Patriots?

Would a more capable GOP have a whole raft of positive suggestions that the White House could just say "yes" to and implement immedicately?

Would that be the conduct of True Patriots?

Question #5:

what do you think of my poem?

What is it like to be completely free
To have no obligations or rivalry
To live my life in complete control
To own my vessel and run the show
To never be told where I have to be
To walk through life worry free
To experience no sadness or gloomy days
To relish the sunshine and all of it rays
To play in the rain and fear not the storm
To enjoy every dance from the day I was born
So, what is it like to be completely free
Don't waste you time asking me
I live in a world all hard and cold
Where people are taught to believe what they're told
They struggle and push all the way through
Life has no meaning it's all a big rue
I tell myself I am happy and complete
And then I go home and begin to repeat
Another days work for another dime
It's never enough money and never enough time
I'll wake up one day and be very old
Realizing most of my life has been stole
Regret and anger will fill my soul
But lies and fables is what will be told
How I enjoyed the few things allowed to me
And all my exaggerated prosperity
The too few occasions I did enjoy
Will be expounded in some sort of ploy
Its purpose to recycle false hopes and beliefs
To keep control of the majority
I am not completely free
Man, time, and money has control over me
But the true brief glimpses of freedom I do see
Is the time spent with my pen in the imaginary
The wondrous moments of complete joy and bliss
Keep me returning to them in hopefulness
What excitement of danger or love will I dream
Will it be complete chaos or oddly serene
All the possibilities are within my control
They do keep me coming back for more
And every night when I close my bedroom door
I open my notebook where freedom is found ever more
I have never taken a poetry class, but I would love to. I do remember the word stanza from a long time ago in high school, but I couldn't tell you what it means. I just love to play with words and read other peoples work. I love the hidden meanings and metaphores, or even outright obvious work.
I think an appropriate title would be "True Freedom"
Any better suggestions?

Question #6:

Why don't Americans understand macro-economics?

The narrative goes like this: We sank ourselves in debt, consumed more than we produced, and Wall Street made us loans they knew we couldn't afford.

The reaction: We need to tighten our belts, cut spending, and lower taxes and decrease government regulation so businesses can make more money.

The sheer stupidity: Macro-economics is not micro-economics. If people are scared and don't go out and spend money, the economy shrinks. If you cut government spending and lay off government workers during a recession, even less people will have money to spend. If you cut taxes on the wealthy, they have a lot of capital to invest and start making up things like derivatives and sub-prime loans. Being nice to business and hoping they create prosperity through the free market is incredibly short-sighted, not to mention shows a complete lack of knowledge of the Great Depression and the New Deal.
So the governmental institutions FDR put in place, and which conservatives rolled back for more and more short term profits have nothing to do with a stable economy? The trick is to create sustainable growth. Not as much growth as possible when it inevitably crashes if it grows too fast.

Question #7:

Have Obama & Pelosi created an atmosphere for job growth or are they waging a war on prosperity?

Question #8:

Since the economy is going down under the democrats?

Doesnt it make sense to let the party that creates prosperity for all americans to have congress.

Sure if the republicans dont fix all this by 2012 I am sure people might be able to give the dems another chance.

Question #9:

All Immigration Polices in place are the work of the Bush Administration, so why do people say that Obama.....?

.....is letting illegals in for future votes?

President Obama has proposed Comprehensive Immigration Reform that includes a slew of border security provision....including e-verify, but Republicans keep pushing against it. So who really wants more illegals to come in?

Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America's Security and Prosperity (CIR ASAP) Act

TITLE I - BORDER SECURITY, DETENTION, AND ENFORCEMENT

Subtitle A - Border Security:

Subtitle A of Title I assembles a vision of effective and accountable enforcement for the 21st century through maximizing border security by requiring the Secretary of Homeland Security to form a national strategy that is consistent with the progress already made. In order to achieve these goals, oversight and accountability for the Department of Homeland Security is emphasized, especially as they pertain to fiscal appropriations and cost-benefit analyses of operations and programs.
@Mo, no...it's SB1070 that is deviding us racially. Obama is stepping in to save the state and because it's violating people's rights.
@Ay Que Lastima, Obama objects to SB1070 because it's unconstitutional and it does nothing for border security.
@Chin T, the violence are a bunch of lies.

Question #10:

How do you feel about fineing, registering and fingerprinting illegals rather than deporting them to encourage?

them to become citizens? I feel that once they register they should have probation officers who follow their cases and ban criminals who commit crimes or fail to comply and help the good citizen-to-be walk through the process of citizenship and give them resources to help them learn english and American history.

Basically this would weed out the crime and encourage prosperity from the values from our constitution. Lets face it, if the person wants to come back bad enough they will cross the border illegally again.

Any other good ideas you would add?

Would you be willing to start an immigration policy amendment or do you feel its fine already?

Question #11:

atheists: do you want to be rich?

if you give your life to god today he will shower you with blessings of wealth and prosperity

Question #13:

Why do Liberals (or anyone) Hate Capitalism?

Capitalism has brought us prosperity for centuries. Yet, socialism and government always fail. Despite this, Obama and Pelosi have nationalized the auto industry, health care, student loans, and the whole economy. He has been an utter failure. After doing so much good, how could anyone be against capitalism?

Question #14:

Does the right-wing ''prosperity gospel'' bother you as well?

Question #15:

Why were so many of the news reports on the "Honor" rally focused on the number of attendees?

Was it because they have spent so much time trying to portray those that oppose the leftist agenda and support liberty, freedom, opportunity, and prosperity as a small fringe group?

Was the number so shocking to them that denial was the only way they could initially cope with the realization that behind every citizen in attendance, many many more could not attend but share the attendees convictions?

Was the fact that those they continually deride, marginalize, and insult are the majority of their potential viewing audience too shocking to believe?

Wouldn't you think this would have already been self evident from their failing ratings and ever decreasing viewers and readers?

Do you think the advertisers that fund their publications and channels were surprised as well?
@ Cap I do not know how many were there, nor was that my question. The question was why so much time and effort spent debating the number attending rather than adress the content of the rally, just as your response seems to do.

Question #16:

Have the wealthy gotten stupider?

I've learned the economic history of the USA, and it seems like the wealthy powerful people in this country used to be much wiser than they are today.

Is that why we've lost our prosperity? The wealthy people have gotten stupdier, and they don't know how to run the country anymore?

Question #17:

Why does America not follow the constitution?

The preable states: 'we the people of the us in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our prosperity...'

so.... america doesnt follow any of those 6 things; perfect union, common defense, domestic tranquility, promote welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty..

why is it that america does not follow what we wrote to follow?

Question #18:

Where can I buy the "common House-leek" plant?

hello I am looking to buy the common house-leek plant as it is said to ward off evil and bring prosperity to the home. I live in Mississauga and i was wondering which store/place can i buy this plant from.

Question #19:

What color candle is best for doing a prosperity spell?

Question #20:
